Let wool care
for itself.

Wool naturally resists odours and surface stains, so frequent washing is rarely necessary. Gentle, regular care helps preserve its softness and shape.

Shake & air

Shake the item gently and air it outdoors in dry weather. Keep it away from prolonged direct sunlight.

Brush softly

Use a soft or dedicated sheepskin brush in the direction of the wool to lift the pile and remove loose dust.

Spot clean

Blot spills promptly. Dab gently with a clean lint-free cloth, tepid water and a small amount of mild wool detergent. Do not rub.

Dry naturally

Allow damp products to dry at room temperature, away from radiators, direct heat and sunlight. Always follow the product care label.

Are natural colour and texture variations normal?+

Yes. Natural variation is part of the material’s character. Colour, shape, wool length and curl may differ slightly from piece to piece.

How often should I clean a sheepskin product?+

Regular shaking, airing and gentle brushing are usually enough. Clean only when needed and always check the product-specific care label first.

Can I place sheepskin in direct sunlight?+

Occasional light is fine, but prolonged direct sunlight may dry the leather backing or fade dyed wool. Choose a shaded position where possible.

What is the difference between genuine sheepskin and synthetic fur?+

Genuine sheepskin combines natural wool with its leather backing, giving it distinctive breathability, warmth, resilience and individual texture. Synthetic fur is manufactured from man-made fibres and does not have the same natural structure. Every genuine sheepskin product can vary slightly in shade, curl, shape and wool length.

Are sheepskin rugs and chair pads suitable for year-round use?+

Yes. Sheep’s wool is naturally insulating yet breathable. Its crimped fibres trap air for warmth while helping manage moisture, so genuine sheepskin rugs, chair pads, cushions and stools can feel comfortable in both cool and warm seasons.

Why is every Supk Kurk sheepskin product unique?+

Natural sheepskin is never completely uniform. Differences in colour, curl, wool length and surface are part of the material’s authentic character. Our handmade rugs, chair pads, poufs and stools therefore have their own individual appearance rather than a factory-identical finish.

How do returns work?+

For standard products, EU consumers normally have 14 days from delivery to tell us they wish to withdraw from an online purchase. Products made to your specifications or clearly personalised may be excluded from this right; where this applies, we will state it clearly before purchase.
